LWI Region 3 Modeling Overview
QUALITY ASSURANCE AND CONTROL Methodology
For this initiative, the purpose of HEC-FIA is to perform quality assurance and control on the results obtained from Go Consequence. Quality control expects discrepancies of less than two units (<10%)—in the number of affected structures and the estimated monetary damage—when comparing the results between Go Consequence and HEC-FIA. Figure 5-9 presents the simplified framework used in HEC-FIA and Figure 5-10 presents a visualization of the HEC-FIA interface. Comparison Table 5-2 presents a comparison of the results obtained from Go Consequence and HEC-FIA. Figure 5-11 shows an additional quality control check comparing the estimated structural monetary damage between the Go Consequence results (X-axis) and the HEC-FIA results (Y-axis).
