Decoding PFAS, Delivering Results Discovering new efficient ways to resolve the environmental challenges of our era is exactly where WSP thrives. Our team of professionals have been addressing Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) impacts since the days when this class of contaminants was still unknown to many. Today, we continue to lead the way with practical, innovative approaches and ground breaking technologies to help clients overcome the challenges posed by PFAS.

Sustainable Remediation using Biopiles and Rhizodegradation Technology ----------------------------------------- LOCATION Québec, Canada ----------------------------------------------------------------------- CLIENT Dow-Petromont ----------------------------------------------------------------------- — Biopiling remediation work was carried out at a former petrochemical complex on 74 hectares. — A polishing treatment using rhizodegradation was added and used after biopiling to treat a recalcitrant chlorinated compound. — 190,000 m3 of soils were treated using biopiles, while 35,000 m3 of soils were treated using additional step of rhizodegradation. Groundwater Plume Analytics® Our suite of Groundwater Plume Analytics® tools take datasets and process them into meaningful and easy-to-understand graphical data outputs.
