Lower Keys Shuttle Key West Transit’s Lower Keys Shuttle operates on US 1 from Key West to Marathon (MM 50), where it connects with MDT Route 301, offering riders an option for travel the length of the Keys from Florida City to Key West.

Service Span: Operates 7 days/week. st trip leaves Key West at 5:40 AM, last trip arrives in Miami 9:54 PM Service characteristics: Operates nine daily round trips from Key West to Marathon, plus two short-turn trips to Cudjoe/ Summerland. As noted in the section on MDT’s Route 301, the Lower Keys Shuttle serves the same location in Marathon as route 301, but schedules on the two routes are uncoordinated, which could lead to long wait times for passengers transferring between the two routes to commit a trip between Key West and Miami. Traffic congestion on US 1 often would make connections uncertain even if the schedules were coordinated. Running time is one hour, 33-55 minutes one way, or 3 hours, 31-53 minutes round trip.
