Key West VIA Service - Key West Rides Key West Rides On-Demand was deployed on December 1, 2022 to replace the North and South Lines, The service is on-demand on a first come, first-served basis, but provides trips between pairs of existing bus stops, rather than curb to-curb service as provided by taxis and TNCs like Uber and Lyft. This is because the service utilizes the same transit buses that previously were used to operate KWT’s north and south lines, which are too large to navigate many of Key West’s narrow streets and tight turns.

Key West Rides seamlessly integrates with other transit routes, including the Lower Keys Shuttle and Duval Loop, offering passengers comprehensive connectivity. Utilizing app-based technology, the service matches multiple riders heading in the same direction, ensuring faster travel on shared trips. The Key West Ride app is available on Google Play and the iOS App Store. Riders who require disabled access must select an icon in the app when requesting a ride. For ADA accessibility, riders with wheelchairs or large mobility devices should select the wheelchair icon in the app before requesting a ride.
