WORKFLOW 1. Production team installs WordsFlow software plug-in 2. Production team creates Word and Excel templates configured for import into InDesign 3. Templates are distributed to content authors 4. Production team creates InDesign template 5. Production team imports Word and Excel files from content authors into InDesign 6. Production team exports updated Word and Excel files from InDesign, in addition to a PDF, and sends files back to content authors for further editing 7. Content authors continue editing Word and Excel files, while production team uses WordsFlow to merge changes with working InDesign file 8. Production team and content authors continue exchange of files — Revisions from content authors are directly imported into the working InDesign file. PDF files can be generated from InDesign to illustrate content and graphic layout early in the production process — Placeholders for missing and in-progress content can be included for reviewer reference — Content authors will maintain their content in Word, while the production team will maintain links to the shared Word files in InDesign — Word files in InDesign
