GEOSPATIAL SERVICES VDI’s Geospatial Services team specializes in geospatial sciences and technologies for projects of any scale and across all WSP market sectors. As data stewards, our team collaborates with clients and project teams to identify and implement the most effective strategy to develop, manage, analyze, and visualize geospatial data. Comprehensive data management strategies ensure data integrity throughout the project lifespan and produce data deliverables that meet federal or client specific standards. To implement scalable solutions, we partner with Esri to leverage its full suite of software tools including desktop applications like ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro, and online solutions like ArcGIS Online, dashboards, Experience Builder, Hub, StoryMaps, Urban, Indoors, and Web AppBuilder. Custom field data collection tools are configured using Fields Maps, Survey123, Collector, or ArcPad. As specialists in an ever-changing industry, the Geospatial Services team stays current and evolves with new methods, technologies, and tools. We deliver innovative solutions through effective data management strategies that enable project teams and clients to collect, explore, understand, and interpret geospatial data—in a variety of mediums, and for a variety of audiences—throughout the course of a project. GRAPHIC DESIGN VDI’s Graphic Design team creates hundreds of graphics annually for branding, public engagement, signage, and reference/resource materials. Deliverables range from custom graphic elements, icons, and logos to technical charts, tables, infographics, and multiple print formats. We specialize in creating engaging and visually compelling documents, where strong design and visual cues direct the reader’s attention to key information, support content/document wayfinding, address accessibility needs, and reflect positively on our clients.

Our team includes highly experienced artists, graphic designers, and illustrators who deliver a comprehensive range of print, digital, and web based materials in styles suited for a specific product and audience. Our focus on usability, accessibility, and the target audience—in tandem with specific expertise in transportation and infrastructure professional services—allows our team to transform complex or difficult-to-understand material into dynamic, intuitive graphics. We use a robust set of modern software tools to meet accessibility standards and support multidevice, multiplatform display. We have worked with numerous clients and consultant teams to develop widely accessible, visually engaging, scalable, and easy-to-update graphics for the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, the Federal Highway Administration, the National Cooperative Highway Research Program, the State Highway Research Program, the Transit Cooperative Research Program, state departments of transportation, and metropolitan planning organizations. VIDEO PRODUCTION With expertise built on developing and delivering hundreds of videos in a myriad of styles and techniques across a broad spectrum of sectors and target audiences, VDI’s Video Production team delivers comprehensive videography and motion graphics services—from concept development, storyboarding, scriptwriting, video capture, photography, and narration, to editing, music/sound effects, closed captioning, packaging, and final delivery. Video offers a compelling alternative for communicating complex topics and evoking a desired call to action, and combining video with multimedia information delivery creates a visceral experience that serves numerous communication objectives. Our multipurpose video deliverables can be adapted for various formats and venues—to stand alone or dynamically introduce a presentation, or to stream online via custom applications, websites, or social media channels.
